As a retired Special Education teacher, supervisor, and psychologist, I am thoroughly enjoying retirement and finally having time to write children’s picture books, inspirational romance novels and poetry.
in September, 2015 I published my first Children’s Picture Book, The Greatest Aunt, about a child who discovers love is what really makes a family. Look for my next children’s book–Jessie’s Heart, about a Border Collie whose comeback after losing a limb is a true inspiration–coming later this year.
In 2016, I published my first Inspirational Romance Novel, Out of the Storm. It was a labor of love in which a young woman goes from victim to victory with a little help from above.
My next books comprise a three book series in which four women friends meet to play cards weekly. We follow the twists and turns of their life journeys in The Bridge Series. Book One, Deception Bridge asks if faith and forgiveness is enough to save Val’s marriage when trust has been broken. In Book Two, Broken Contracts, Susan’s struggle with addiction could take everything from her–including her child–unless she finds her way back. Finally, in Book Three, Premonition Bridge, a member of the Reed family disappears without a trace and the only clues to the victim’s whereabouts come from mystifying messages.
NEW RELEASE: WATERCOLOR WHISPERS, a romantic mystery.
Art therapist Mia Reed has a calling to help her patients as well as a special gift—paintings that unlock mysteries and help solve crimes. When Mia’s hand is guided by an outside force, will the clues in her drawings point to the killer and answer questions even before they’re asked?
My books are published by Year of the Book publishing, and are all available on Amazon. I am indebted to Demi Stevens whose skills, guidance, and encouragement have inspired me in those moments of self-doubt that so often plague writers.
My husband and I have been happily married for 32 years, and I am blessed to have 3 amazing sons and 5 wonderful grandchildren. Being the mother of three boys was quite an adventure, but now that they are three fine men with families of their own, they don’t need so much of my time. My husband, who is also retired, hunts, fishes, and stays busy with his photograpy. So I have lots and lots of free time…..at last! Now it’s my turn to do the things I’m passionate about and for which there was never enough time in the past.
As well as filling my time with writing, I stay busy as an active member of our American Legion Auxiliary Unit #791, Dept. of PA. I pray for peace, but I support our troops who sacrifice so much.
